The men’s soccer team started off their season against a very tough opponent in SUNY Delhi and came up short, losing 7-1.
The Falcons struggled against the constant attack from the Delhi Broncos as the opponent had 20 shots on goal throughout the match. After getting in a 6-0 hole late in the second, freshmen Austin Mousseau made a beautiful unassisted goal on an attack on the right side for the lone score on the day for the Falcons.
Delhi made it to the USCAA National Tournament this past season so the Falcons new they would be in for a tough contest, but first-year head coach Tom Keegan was pleased overall with his teams effort. They will look to rebound this Saturday in another home contest against Penn State Worthington at 2:00 p.m.
