The Davis College men’s soccer team delivered a dominating performance in their Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opener, beating visiting Webb Institute 6-1 on Saturday.
Freshmen Austin Mousseau led the way, scoring a hat trick with 3 goals and adding an assist. He now has 6 goals on the young season which leads the conference to this point. Senior Elijah Knowlton also had a big performance as he scored his first 2 goals of the year along with an assist of his own. Newcomer Titus Geday made great plays all day long and converted on a goal and 2 assists. Goalie, Jackson Henri, grabbed 8 saves on 9 shots from Webb Institute.
Kevin Prichard scored the lone goal for Webb as the visiting team was unable to dig themselves out of a 0-3 halftime deficit.
The win puts Davis at 2-1 on the season and 1-0 in HVIAC play. They face 2 tough HVIAC opponents this upcoming week at home as they face SUNY ESF on Wednesday, 9/13, at 4:00 p.m., and The College of New Rochelle on Saturday, 9/16, at 1:00 p.m.
