PHIL 1031 Life, Ethics and Worldview (1.5 credit
hours per semester) |
This course studies the basic
principles that lead to a fulfilling life,
stimulating the examination of the meaning and
purpose of life. Emphasis will be given to the
students acquiring of principles and practices
leading to continued growth and maturity, ethical
behavior and decision making. Attention will be
given to the definition, development and
implementation of a personal worldview, equipping
the student for service and leadership in an ever
changing world.

Description: The student will study and develop
Christian responses to ethical problems of society.
Accounts of how the Christian moral conscience has
been brought to bear on western society are
analyzed. An attempt is made to define the social
responsibility of the church in a world marked by
continuing need and much self-interest.
