Student Development

A Message from Rick Cramer, Vice President for Student Development

The purpose of the Student Development department is to meet the spiritual, social, and physical needs of students outside the classroom at Davis College. As a biblical higher education institution, it is our mission to encourage you spiritually, engage you mentally and socially, and provide for your physical needs while you are a student at Davis College. The Student Development staff works hard to encourage you spiritually.

Here are just a few ways that we seek to meet your spiritual needs and
interests at Davis College:

◊ Daily challenging and uplifting chapels
◊ Opportunities to join several student fellowships
◊ Devotions in the residence halls
◊ Small groups designed for discipleship and fellowship with a variety
of Davis College faculty and staff
◊ A concerned and qualified staff person dedicated to meeting the
personal and counseling needs of our students

Our Johnson City New York campus also provides a number of ways to develop
students intellectually and socially such as:

◊ Serving in one of dozens of leadership positions that are available in
a variety of Davis College student organizations
◊ Fun and exciting events held at our Broadway Coffee Cafe,
housed in the Robb Activity Center
◊ Concerts
◊ Formal and informal banquets
◊ A game room designed for casual gatherings
◊ A variety of other encouraging ministry and entertaining events that
add quality and enjoyment to your time here at Davis College.

At Davis, we purpose to not overlook students' physical needs as well. From
sports to food to housing these are all components to having a comfortable
and successful Christian college experience. A few ways we seek to meet your
physical needs are:

◊ Intramural coed sports
◊ A variety of collegiate athletics -- the Davis Falcons compete in
NCCAA Division II sports (basketball and soccer).
◊ A convenient fitness center with trained staff

These are just a few of the ways that we plan on making your experience at
Davis encouraging, engaging, and even entertaining. You will find that our
team works hard to serve you because we love our Lord and we love you!

Sincerely in Christ,

Rick Cramer
