Dan
Rathmell enters his second year as the head coach of the
Davis College men’s basketball program. Previously he was an
assistant men's basketball coach at Davis College and also
served as an assistant coach at Broome Community College.
In 2004,
Dan graduated from Susquehanna University and earned a
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He was a four
time varsity letterman for a winning program which included
the league regular season championship in 2002-2003. As a
high school graduate of Windsor, Dan was a starter for three
SUS League championship teams, including a section four
championship in ‘98-‘99. Dan is a member of the STOP-DWI
Holiday Classic All-Time Regional Team and was SUS League
MVP in ‘99-‘00.
Dan
understands what it takes to be a successful student athlete
and has a strong desire to help others reach their full
potential both on and off the basketball court. College
athletics helps develop strong leadership skills as well as
communication and teamwork. At Davis College, students will
learn to utilize these skills as a means of ministry
opportunities for Christ.
Dan
currently resides in Windsor with his wife, Rebecca, a 2008
graduate of the Davis College Counseling program, who is a
mental health counselor with Catholic Charities.
