"Faith and Family Day"
took place with the Binghamton Mets on Sunday, July 19,
2009. Davis College had the privilege of partnering with
Andrew's Good News Ministries and the Family Life
Network for the event which took place on a beautiful
afternoon in Binghamton, New York.
Pre-game
music was provided by the Acoustics (Lyndsey Fingler of
Hornell, NY; DiAnza Sassano of Canisteo, NY; Katie
O'Connor of Johnson City, NY; and Katie Kreidler of
Binghamton, NY). The first pitch was thrown out by Davis
College trustee Keli Cooper, and the National Anthem was
sung by Davis College trustee Ken Barber. Rick Snavely,
CEO and Radio Network Manager of the Family Life Network,
was involved with announcements during the game that
took place between the Binghamton Mets and the Erie
Sea Wolves.
Kids 14 and under enjoyed "Kids Eat
Free" day with the purchase of a Faith Day ticket. After
the game, B-Mets players gave testimonies about
their faith and the gospel message was shared by Tom
O'Connor, Davis College Athletic Director and Chaplain
for the B-Mets. ApologetiX,
"That Christian Parody Band" followed in
concert. Face painting, balloon
animals and games were available for children with many
families staying to enjoy the post-game activities. |
