Campus Improvement
Initiative
August 2005:
Under the supervision of Phil Strawn, Vice President for Business
Affairs, and Joe Mack, Director of Campus Maintenance and
Operations, the Fahs-Ralston Company completed extensive upgrades to
the campus roadways. The project was also
been guided by the expertise of Davis College's Hebrew professor,
Dr. George Snyder, who has a background in civil engineering. The
improvements have positively impacted access from the
Riverside Drive main entrance to Robb Activity Center, home of Davis
College's Broadway Coffee Cafe and Falcons athletic teams.
The paving project widened the existing access road from 12' to 18'.
Lantern lights been added to address safety concerns, matching the lighting
added during the phase one renovation of the main campus entrance.
The back entrance of the campus from Sunset Knoll and Edwards Street
was repaved and redesigned to add aesthetic beauty and
easier access for vehicles.
This campus improvement initiative was made possible through
the generous gifts of donors. The next phase will include the
addition of parking along the renovated roadway, and the removal of
old buildings in preparation for the
Williams Ministry Center
project.
