Davis College features two single student residence halls. Single men live in Patterson Hall, and single women reside in Chatlos-Davis Hall.
Each dorm is supervised by a Resident Director and Resident Assistants. Resident Directors and the Resident Assistants are responsible for the supervision of the hall, coordinating activities, mentoring, and providing accountability for resident students.
Students residing in Patterson Hall and Chatlos-Davis need to abide by the standards in the Davis Covenant and in the Student Handbook.
All single students under 22 are required to live on campus, unless they are living with parents or relatives in the community. Students are required to carry a minimum load of 6 credits to live in the residence halls, upperclassmen suites or married housing.
For more information on the residence halls, please contact one of the Residence Directors, Cresanna Kahrl (female residents) or Josh Morgan (male residents). For more information on dorm housing, please contact the Student Development Office at 607.729.1581 x 315.
Upperclassmen suites are for students that are of a Junior or Senior or 20 years of age or older. Men reside in Phillips Hall and the Women live in Clements Hall.
Each suite is equipped with a kitchen, bath, one or two bedrooms and a living room. Each suite bedroom comes furnished with a wooden framed bed for each student.
Students that are interested in an Upperclassmen Suite need to fill out an Upperclassmen Suite Application and read the guidelines on the back of the application. Student must meet ALL guidelines in the application. Suites fill up quickly; therefore filling out an application as soon as possible is key to getting on the list.
Davis College offers affordable housing to full-time students who are married. Mason Hall is a 12-unit apartment complex located on Davis College Campus and is reserved exclusively for married couples of which at least one spouse carries full-time credit hours and for single parents.
The two bedroom apartments are typically available on a first come, first served basis. Utilities (gas and electric) are included in the price of rent.
Interested students should contact the Office of Student Development as soon as possible to complete an application for housing. If all units are filled, applicants will be placed on the waiting list. When apartments become available, you will be contacted.
A month-to-month contract is required for the apartments, rent payments are due on the 1st of each month, and tenants are responsible for giving at least 30 days’ notice before vacating a unit. Contracts end one month after resident is no longer a full-time student.
