Kyle will be starting his tenure as head coach of the Davis college men’s soccer program this fall. He comes to Davis after a four year stint as head coach at Ross Corners Christian academy in Vestal where his teams won either the league title or league tournament three out of the four years. Prior to RCCA, he was an assistant at the varsity level for a successful Greene program. Kyle’s playing career in high school was spent at Greene where he earned All-League honors. He then went on to play at Broome community college, where he received All- Conference honors on a team that finished the season ranked 5th in the nation. Kyle currently holds a USSF “D” license.
An important component and trend that you’ll see as a life vein in all of Kyle’s teams is a family mentality. We put others above ourselves and everyone on the team is set up to be a standard bearer of something that will help to improve the team & raise the bar for everyone. Winning will always be the goal but it should show that it’s never our purpose. Davis teams will be known for playing to a standard of excellence because it’s about Who we play for, not what we play for. We are intentional about making each other better each time we get together.
Kyle has been blessed to be coached by, and placed around numerous coaches who have impacted, and help shape who he is today. This is an opportunity that is not lost on him when it comes to the student-athletes he will have a chance to work with at Davis. Kyle is committed to working tirelessly to cultivate skills that will translate not only on the pitch but also in to day to day life.
