Dan took over as the new Athletic Director in November of 2013 after Tom O’Connor retired after 22 years in the position. He is also entering his 6th season at the head coach of the men’s basketball team. Before being promoted to AD, Dan served in various other positions at the college including Director of Marketing and Communications, Resident Director, and Assistant to Development.
Dan understands what it takes to be a successful student athlete and has a strong desire to help others reach their full potential both on and off the basketball court. College athletics helps develop strong leadership skills as well as communication and teamwork. At Davis College, students will learn to utilize these skills as a means of ministry opportunities for Christ.
In 2004, Dan graduated from Susquehanna University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After graduating, he started his coaching career as an assistant basketball coach at Broome Community College. After one year, he joined the Davis College staff as an assistant for two seasons before being named head coach.
Dan’s wife, Rebecca, graduated in 2008 from Davis College with a degree in counseling and is the Case Manager for the Binghamton Rescue Mission at Whitney Place. They reside in Windsor with their son, Hunter.
