Rev. Brian Mentzer, Homecoming Speaker, September 27, 2007, 7 PM

Rev. Brian Mentzer is the senior pastor of Riverdale Baptist Church in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The church ministers to over 2,500 members in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

In addition to his role and many responsibilities as senior pastor, Rev. Mentzer also serves as Chancellor of Riverdale Baptist School. RBS enrolls 1100+ students on two campuses. Rev. Mentzer serves on the board of Davis College, as well as the board of WorldHelp, a humanitarian, non-profit organization providing humanitarian aid, child sponsorship, and community redevelopment. Rev. Mentzer also serves on the Community Advisory Council of the Greater Prince George's County Roundtable.

The Council consists of leaders from government, business, labor, education, the faith-based community, non-profits and civic organizations from across Prince George's County and the region to establish a vehicle for exchange of valuable information and insight for the county's future and economic development. Rev. Mentzer is a member of the Andrews Business Alliance for Andrews Air Force Base consisting of members from the business, civic, faith and public sectors, with the goal to provide advocacy and support for the mission of AAFB while fostering economic and community relationships. Rev. Mentzer is also an Honorary Commander for the Andrews Air Force 89th Airlift Wing, Maintenance Group.

Rev. Mentzer and his wife, Jayne, have three children.
