Davis College FAQ's
Q:
Does the timing of my application make any difference?
A: Yes it
does! Davis College works on a rolling admissions basis. Our
Admissions committee will meet and discuss your application
as soon as we receive your transcripts and Pastor's
Recommendation form. There is no deadline to apply, however,
the earlier one applies, the better the opportunity for
scholarships and acceptance. The best time to apply is
between August and February of your senior year.
Q: What
are the requirements for enrollment?
A: We need
your Application, High School transcripts, and your
completed Pastor's recommendation form.
Q: Do you
consider my commitment to Christianity and my walk with God?
A: We
certainly do! We weigh heavily the recommendations given to
us by a student's Pastor. Students who do not know the Lord
or who show no desire to grow in their walk with Him will
not be granted Admission. We desire to enroll Christian
students who love God and desire to thrive academically.
Q:
Does Davis accept homeschool students?
A: Yes we
do! Approximately 10% of our students were home-schooled in
their High school career. We need an application, Pastor's
recommendation, and High School transcripts (a letter from
your Superintendent of Schools, stating that you have met
all requirements of your state's laws for secondary
education, or a GED, will substitute as High School
transcripts.)
Q: Where
is Davis College located, and in what setting?
A: Davis
College is located in Johnson City, N.Y., adjacent to the
City of Binghamton. Though the campus is situated only five
minutes from the urban center of Binghamton, the beautiful
trees, scenic Susquehanna River, and neighborhoods
immediately surrounding the campus create a suburban
atmosphere.
Q: What
sports
do you
have?
A: NCCAA
Division II: Men's and women's basketball, volleyball, and
soccer.
Intramural
sports for Men and Woman include: indoor soccer, basketball,
and volleyball. If you are interested in playing NCCAA
Collegiate sports for DAVIS you can email our
Athletic Director's
office.
Q: What
size is your student body on average?
A: 275-300
students.
Q: What is
the student/professor ratio?
A: 16:1
Q: What
percentage of the student body is male? Female?
A: Men --
53%. Women -- 47%.
Q: What is
the average cost to attend Davis College?
A:
Full-time tuition, room, board and other fees average around
$17,000 per year. Ninety-four percent of our students
receive Financial Aid and have access to both federal and
state aid. That means you can almost be sure that you will
receive aid. When you factor in all Aid received the average
student will pay only 50 -- 57% of the entire cost of their
Davis College education.
We challenge you to find another Private
Christian College that can offer you a better value for the
price!

Q: Why is
accreditation so important in a college search?
A:
Accreditation is the tool used by Higher Education to ensure
the highest level of quality at an institution. Achieving
accreditation proves that an institution has met certain
standards, and accreditation is the school's proof of
legitimacy. Davis College is
accredited through both Middle
States and ABHE accrediting agencies.
