Personal Information
Peter Mason is a
native of Connecticut. He was raised by encouraging
parents who were active in the local church. As a
young person, the Spirit of God drew Peter to faith
in Christ as he listened to a presentation of
theGospel during a morning worship service. His home
church is Wintonbury Baptist Church in Bloomfield,
Connecticut. It has been his privilege to "grow in
the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ"
(II Peter 3:18).
Peter's wife,
Rhonda, is a "pastor's kid". She was born in
Tennessee and grew up in South Carolina, New Jersey,
New York and Connecticut. Peter and Rhonda met when
her dad was pastoring Calvary Church in Connecticut
where Peter's family was attending at the time. She
graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is a nurse at
Shaker High School in Colonie, New York. They have
two grown children. Peter enjoys playing trumpet,
carpentry, bicycling, tennis, skiing, and golfing.
Peter has a
special interest in men's ministries speaking at
men's conferences. He has written a book for men's
Bible studies called Mentoring Men Makes a
Difference (CB MissionNortheast, 1999). In
conjunction with his teaching, he has also published
an article entitled "Cloning: The Future is Now" in
the May 1997 edition of Touchstone magazine
delivered at the International Bioethics Conference
(July, 2000). Peter has contributed a chapter called
"Hope in the Face of Temptation" to the book,
Hope Grows in Winter (Kregel, September, 2000).
