Is teaching elementary education Your Goal? Davis College does not offer a master's in teaching, however, students at Davis College have an exciting option to obtain their MAT upon graduation.

Earn your BRE in the concentration of your choice at Davis College in New York State, and your Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in one additional year at Philadelphia Biblical University.

Davis College is pleased to announce that it has signed an articulation agreement with Philadelphia Biblical University allowing graduates from the Christian Ministries program to earn their Master of Science in Education (MS Ed) and a PA Instructional 1 teaching certificate, as well as the ASCI teaching certificate. Students meeting certain requirements in their undergraduate studies at Davis College will be able to obtain teaching certification that is reciprocal in 48 states, including New York, Pennsylvania and Florida, through the arrangement with PBU. The program will allow students to choose either the Elementary K-6 program or the Early Childhood N-3 Program.

 

“Davis College has provided a similar option since 1998 through Columbia International University,” said Dr. Gilbert Parker, Chief Academic Officer. “CIU is no longer accepting applicants into their MS Ed program which forced Davis College to explore other options that would benefit our students. We are excited about the opportunity to continue providing students with a program that provides certification to teach in both public and private school settings.”
