A Message from Professor Chris Seavey

Youth Ministries

Today, adolescents are immersed in a culture that teaches them that "image" rates higher than character, "style" counts for more than real accomplishment. They are taught to be impressed with outward appearances. They are easily distracted from unspectacular disciplines that lead to excellence. Life is skimmed from the surface, while the depths remain largely unexplored. 

The Youth Ministry Department at Davis College exists to equip leaders by informing their minds, integrating their hearts and influencing their behavior, in order that they may inspire today's youth past a life of superficiality, and embrace the depths of genuine intimacy with God.
