Purpose and Objectives

Purpose:

The AAS degree in Early Childhood Administration is a 70 your program with a 28-hour Early childhood Administration major. It is designed for students who plan to serve in an early childhood setting in a local church or parachurch organization. Graduates of this program will be prepared to minister, organize, supervise, and administer a preschool children's program.

Objectives:

In addition to the educational objectives of the College, the student graduating from the Early Childhood Education Administration  program will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the various early childhood ministries of the local church and typical ministries existing in a para-church setting.

  • Articulate a sound philosophy of ministering in the early childhood setting.

  • Demonstrate the ability to design, observe, teach, supervise, and administer all aspects of an early childhood ministry program.

  • Demonstrate the ability to minister to the parent or caregiver responsible for the children placed under the care of the early childhood ministry.
