The purposes of the
Alice E. Chatlos Library are to provide learning
resources that directly support and appropriately
supplement the Davis College curriculum for students
and faculty; provide learning resources that are
appropriate for a Christian college for the sake of
all interested patrons; and provide library services
that effectively instruct and help all library
patrons find, evaluate and use the information
sources they need.
The three-story library currently
contains over 88,000 volumes, and on-line databases
(accessible 24/7 to students/staff) to three
collegiate research collections: EbscoHost,
FirstSearch & Wilson OmniFile. These databases,
along with many other smaller subject databases,
provide fingertip access to over 30,000 journal
titles, and approximately five million full-text
articles. The library also subscribes to ebook
collections that are available 24/7.
The library also offers nation-wide interlibrary
loan through OCLC, which provides access to
approximately 69 million titles (books, journals,
etc.) among over 28,000 libraries. |
