2004-Present, Davis College: Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Law. Courses taught include Basic Concepts in Mathematics, Foundational Mathematics, Introduction to Calculus, Constitutional Law, and Ministries and the Law.

1994-2004: Retired from law practice to stay home with her children. She taught her younger son at home from grades 8 through 12.

1989-1994: Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of NY: Member of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee Panel.

1976-1993: Hinman, Howard & Kattell, Binghamton, NY: Attorney and partner. Real estate, income tax, bankruptcy and tax-exempt Industrial Development Bond Counsel. Frequently used excel spreadsheets to assist in case analysis and court presentations.

2001 & 2002, Roger, Elizabeth, and their son Aaron twice traveled to Dinan, France to assist in the renovation of a new Word of Life Youth Camp. Their first trip was a little scary - it came one month after 9/11.

2002, Roger, Elizabeth and Aaron traveled to Shanghai, China where they taught English at a two-week winter camp.

Personal Information

Elizabeth has been married to Roger S. Rutter, a retired IBM engineer, for 30 years. They have two grown sons, Bradley and Aaron, and are adjusting to their empty nest. Brad was married this summer to a lovely girl on the beach in North Carolina. Elizabeth enjoys scrap booking and journaling her family's memories and heritage and traveling with Roger on his hunting and fishing trips. Elizabeth stays at the lodge reading lots of books while Roger stalks wild game. Sometimes, she even eats it!

Elizabeth feels very blessed to be at Davis. The Lord has been able to use all of her varied life experiences at this college.
