“I'd like to commend Davis
College for the wonderful (and safe) spiritual environment and
nurturing atmosphere we've heard so much about ... it was lived
out for two of our students this past semester. Both students
expressed huge advancement in each of their individual Christian
walks ... in just the first two weeks on campus! They continued
to grow and develop steadily during the entire semester and they
can't wait to get started again for Spring 2009. Thank you to
Dr. Pedrone, the faculty and staff for the tremendous difference
you are making in these young men’s lives. I am able to
confidently and wholeheartedly refer potential students knowing
very recently and first hand that Davis College is all it claims
to be. Praise God!”

Davis College is thankful for
the ministry of and friendship with the Baptist Convention
of New York. In November 2007, the BCNY (the branch of the
national Southern Baptist Convention in the state) approved
a resolution to recommend Davis College to its churches. The
report on the
BCNY website states,
“The Baptist Convention of New York has entered a
cooperative relationship with Davis College, approved during
the BCNY annual meeting at the Korean Church of Queens in
Flushing, N.Y.” As stated by Terry Robertson, BCNY Executive
Director, the relationship has already existed for many
years informally and many BCNY churches are pastored by
Davis College graduates.
The approved recommendation
reads, "That the BCNY pass a resolution recommending Davis
College as a Christian college which would be appropriate
for students from our churches, and establishing a voluntary
and cooperative relationship or endorsement and partnership
between the BCNY and Davis College. We recommend Davis
College to all Southern Baptists as an accredited, quality
four-year college that embraces Southern Baptists."
Davis College is a non-denominational college adhering to a
doctrinal
statement whose core belief is biblical
inerrancy. The College highly values its relationship with
Southern Baptists and all churches who share our
conservative evangelical principles. Two exciting developments
related to this announcement are that Davis College will host
the BCNY Youth Conference planned for July 18-25, 2009 and
the 40th Annual Meeting September 24-25, 2009.

comments about this announcement, feel free to send them by
