Spring Teaching Site Course Information

Narrow Road Ministries of Brisbin, PA, in partnership with TAGG Team Ministries of Clearfield, PA, is pleased to announce that they will be offering accredited Christian college courses at The Crossroad youth center as a teaching site of Davis College beginning January 16, 2012. The courses will be open to adult learners.

An Open House will take place Monday, January 9, 2012 from 6-9 PM at The Crossroad youth center (126 North Third Street, Clearfield, PA, 16830). Representatives from Davis College will be available to answer questions and assist prospective learners.

  ORGL 2022 Course Description: This course provides an introductory study of leadership and management, offering both theoretical and practical approaches to the subject. The disciplines of leadership and management are compared and contrasted, and students learn how to create, manage and grow an organization. The class analyzes the attributes of successful leaders and managers and provides space for hte students to reflect upon their own leaderhsip philosophy, style, weaknesses and strengths. Special attention is given to important topics such as time managment, communication, problem solving, goal orientation and accomplishment, self-discipline, work ethics, leadership styles, and personal leadership growth.

BIBL 1022 Course Description: The composition of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numers, and Deuteronomy, collectively called the Pentateuch, teaches God's people how to live. Beginning in story form with God's design of the world - "Creation" and man's response - "fall," the chronicle subsequently recounts man's successive failues, God's responsive commitment to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and his promised deliverance of their descendents from Egypt. After a stop at Sinai for detailed instruction and a detour of a generation's length through the wilderness, the story ends at the border of the land promised with Moses rehearsing for God's people the behavior required in order to receive his blessing.

THEO 3011 Course Description: This course is an in-depth study of Theological Methodology, Bibliology, Theology Proper, Paterology, Pneumatology, and angelology. Christology is briefly surveyed, and is covered extensively in Life of Christ.

This course is designed to help students understand controversial issues as well as identify the beliefs of others in relation to these doctrines. The student will be equipped to develop personal beliefs and to defend and articulate those beliefs to others.
